Dr. Ambika P. Adhikari, DDes., AICP, has over 25 years of professional and academic experience in urban and environmental planning and project management internationally, including in Nepal, India, USA, Canada, Mexico and the Pacific. In Nepal, he was a member of the Government of Nepal’s National Water and Energy Commission – the highest policy making body in this sector. Dr. Adhikari received Doctorate in Urban Planning from Harvard University, obtained post graduate fellowship from MIT and M. Arch. from University of Hawaii. He is a Fellow and Life-member of the American Society of Nepalese Engineers (ASNE). He was born and raised in Bhojpur, Nepal, and he currently lives in Phoenix, Arizona, USA.

Mr. Bikash Sainju, a very enthusiastic and successful businessman currently living in Alameda, CA, USA, originally hails from Sinamangal, Kathmandu, Nepal. Mr. Sainju received his Bachelor’s degree in Social Science from Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu, Nepal. Mr. Sainju owns a Commercial Cleaning Company in San Francisco Bay Area, California, USA. He is very interested in project activities that are directly related to Environmental Pollution Control of Kathmandu Valley.  Mr. Sainju is involved in many charitable activities in Nepal and in the Bay area of San Francisco, California, USA.

Dr. Dilip R. Panthee, a Horticultural Scientist/Tomato Breeder, received his B.Sc. degree from IAAS Rampur Campus, Tribhuvan University, Nepal, M. Phil from University of Bermingham and Reading, UK, and Ph.D. from University of Tennessee, Knoxville, TN, USA. Dr. Panthee was born and raised in  Gulmi, Nepal. He currently lives in North Carolina, USA.

Mr. Gyanshor Shrestha was born and raised in Gulmi District, Nepal.  Mr. Shrestha received his high school education from Sidhartha Banasthali High School, B.Sc. degree from Amrit Science Campus (Ascol), Tribhuban University, Nepal, and his Business Management degree from Texas Southern University, Texas, USA. Mr. Shrestha is a very successful Businessmen from Nepalese communities in Houston, Texas, USA. He has been living in Houston since 1995. Mr. Shrestha has been sponsoring and organizing Health Campus in Gulmi and Arghakhanchi districts where thousands of rural people receive health services. He is engaged in many other social activities and services in Houston, Texas, and in Nepal.

Dr. Kabi R Neupane, Plant Molecular Physiologist, received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. Agriculture (Plant Breeding and Genetics) from University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore, India, and Ph.D. from University of Hawaii, USA.  Dr. Neupane was born in Sankhuwa-sabha and raised in Khandbari and Biratnagar, Nepal. He currently lives in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA.

Dr. Kalpana Khanal is an economist and received her Ph.D. and MA degrees in economics from University of Missouri Kansas City (UMKC). She received MS in Agricultural Economics from Oklahoma State University and B.Sc. in Agricultural Sciences from Institute of Agricultural and Animal Sciences, Tribhuvan University, Nepal. Dr. Khanal developed a passion for teaching as a graduate teaching assistant at UMKC where she also taught various economics courses as an instructor. After completion of PhD in 2014 she taught as a visiting faculty at Arkansas State University. Her teaching interest includes macroeconomics, money and banking, public finance, global finance, political economy and institutional economics. Her research approach follows a mix of qualitative and quantitative methods based on historical and institutional foundations. Dr. Khanal is also a member of the Association for Evolutionary Economics (AFEE), Association for Institutional Thought (AFIT), International Association of Feministic Economics (IAFEE), Omicron Delta Epsilon (International Honor Society in Economics), Western Social Science Association (WSSA) and Allied Social Science Association (ASSA), Association of Nepalese Agricultural Professionals of Americas (NAPA) and founding executive member of Asta-Ja USA. Dr. Khanal was born and raised in Kathmandu.

Ms. Kamala Neupane, a Registered Nurse,  is  actively engaged in various community services and volunteer works.  Ms. Neupane currently serves as a Board of Directors/Board Members for Asta-Ja USA,  MAACA (Mid America Asian Cultural Association) and ANMA (Association of Nepalese in Midwest). Ms. Neupane was the first Vice President of Kansas City Nepalese Society and an adviser for second Executive Committee. Ms. Neupane’s hobbies include gardening, reading, poem writing, networking and traveling, and she believes on hard work. Ms. Neupane was born in Sankuwashabha, Nepal, and currently lives in Kansas City, Kansas, USA.

Ms Neela Joshi, a Computer Scientist, received her M.Sc. degree in Computer Science from University of Louisiana at Lafayette, Louisiana, USA. Ms. Joshi is a lead  Drupal Developer at Baker Huges and GE Company, Houston, Texas. She has  more than 12 years of experience in software development; she created complex back-end management systems including content management, e-commerce, customer relations and communication interfaces. She was born in Bajhang district of Nepal, and raised in Kathmandu, Nepal. She currently lives in Houston, Texas, USA.

Dr. Pushpa R. Pathak, MD, an  Internal Medicine and Hospitalist, is a member of American College of Physician, and a Graduate of Shanghai Medical University, P.R.China. Dr. Pathak is fluent in Mandarin (Chinese language). He was born in Chitwan and raised in Kathmandu, Nepal. He is a graduate of  St. Xavier School. He currently  lives and practices in Dallas, Texas, USA.

Dr. Peetambar Dahal, Plant Biologist, received his Ph.D. and M.Sc. degrees on Plant Biology from the University of California at  Davis, California, USA. Dr. Dahal received his B.Sc. degree in Agriculture from the Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT), formerly University of Udaipur, in Udaipur, Rajasthan, India.  Dr. Dahal has an extensive working experience in Nepal including in Plant Quarantine, Horticulture Seed Production, and Post-harvest technologies, and in other countries such as India, Bangladesh, Thailand, Kenya, Tanzania and Rwanda in post-harvest technology. He is involved in promoting an important concept of Climate Smart Dry Chain concept, which addresses the concern of the medical community and international food organizations regarding the threats posed by toxigenic molds and insects on food safety, nutrition and health. Dr. Dahal currently lives in Davis, California, USA.

Dr. Raju Pandey, Pest Management, IPM and Organic Agriculture Scientist. Dr. Pandey received his Ph.D. degree in Entomology from University of Hawaii at Manoa, USA, M. Sc. degree in Crop Protection from University of Reading, UK, and B.Sc. in Agriculture: from Punjab Agricultural University, Akola, India. Dr. Pandey was born and raised in Nuwakot, Nepal, and he currently lives in Riverside, California, USA.

Dr. Tara Niraula, an educator, researcher, and social policy expert, received his bachelor degree in Education from Tribhuvan University, Nepal,  a double masters in Educational Administration and his Doctor of Education degree in Organization and Leadership from Teachers College of Columbia University, New York, USA. Dr. Niraula has served in many social organizations including the Nepalese Americas Council/Non-Resident Nepali Association of North America and America Nepal Friendship Society. Dr. Niraula was born and raised in Tehrathum district. and he currently resides in New York, USA.
